Trek n Tech Annual Retreat 2025: A 7-Day Workcation of OSL

Articles

OSL family came together for the Trek n Tech Annual Retreat 2025, a 7-day workcation set amidst the serene beauty of Gourissa Resort, Madhai, from 7th to 13th December 2025.

This retreat was our way of saying thank you for the dedication, commitment, and energy every team member brings to OSL throughout the year.

The retreat kicked off on 7th December, as the team departed together from our Bhopal office. From the very first day, the focus was clear: connect beyond screens, while still working together on them.

From the very first day, the focus was clear: to connect beyond screens while continuing to collaborate through them.

Relaxed gatherings set the tone for the retreat, as team members came together to introduce themselves, share music, and exchange stories that helped break the ice.

From conversations over breakfast tables and reflections on the previous day’s moments to evenings spent listening to music by the bonfire and revisiting memorable anecdotes, every interaction fostered a sense of connection.

These shared experiences created an atmosphere that was welcoming, personal, and truly memorable for the OSL family.

If moments like these inspire you, there’s a good chance you belong here.

And here’s the best part of our workcation…

Trek & Tech: Working Sessions & Workshops

As the retreat unfolded, focused work remained at the core of the workcation experience.

For the first time in OSL’s journey, we planned a full 7-day workcation, bringing together both remote and in-office teams under one roof. This format allowed teams to step away from routine settings and engage in meaningful, face-to-face collaboration.

Surrounded by lush greenery, peaceful surroundings, and scenic views, the workcation struck a great balance between focused work and meaningful in-person interactions. It gave teams the space to stay productive while also connecting beyond their everyday routines.

Throughout the week, teams participated in focused work sessions and workshops, presented by:

Mr. Pritam Prasun

Pritam Prasun, Co-founder of OSL, shared his vision for the future of OpenSense Labs, outlining strategic priorities, cultural values, and plans for upcoming products such as DrupalFit and FMEA. He also facilitated a workshop focused on identifying and nurturing future growth within the organization, which led to the recognition of Rohit Singh as a key emerging contributor from this initiative.

Mr. Pritish Kumar

Pritish Kumar, Engineering Manager at OSL, delivered a session titled “The Future of Teams in the Age of AI.” He spoke about the importance of empathy, efficiency, and ownership in building strong, high-performing teams in an AI-driven workplace.

Mr. Premanshu Pareek

Premanshu Pareek, Product Marketing Manager at OSL, conducted a session called “How to Work With People Who Don’t Think Like You.” He highlighted how differences in perspective are not obstacles, but opportunities to learn, collaborate, and grow together.

All these sessions are aimed at accepting various viewpoints, enhancing teamwork, and transforming cognitive differences into a strength for teams and organizations.

The workcation provided space to align on goals, exchange ideas freely, and strengthen relationships beyond daily workflows, reinforcing the culture of trust and collaboration that defines OSL. One of the key highlights of the retreat was a dedicated space for thought leadership, learning, and shared insights.

Conferences & Knowledge Sharing Across OSL

A key highlight of the retreat was the Trek & Tech Annual Conference, which brought teams together to reflect on achievements and discuss ideas shaping OSL’s future.

Team Presentations

Harsh Phartyal & Shekhar Yadav presented “Automating Multi-Platform Publishing,” demonstrating how automation is transforming content publishing, enabling faster scaling and consistency across channels.

Abhishek Kumar Singh & Ankit Singh delivered a session on “Building a Quality-First Culture,” emphasizing that quality is not just a process but a mindset that drives better outcomes and long-term trust.

Palak Agarwal & Nisha Katariya shared insights through “Marketing at the Core of Digital Growth,” highlighting how creativity, strategy, and data together fuel sustainable digital momentum.

Harivansh Sharma presented a “demo on agentic workflows in Drupal,” showcasing how autonomous, task-driven agents can streamline processes, improve decision-making, and enhance efficiency across Drupal-based systems.

The conference concluded with a panel discussion featuring Yash Marwaha, Pritish Kumar, Anmol Goel, Janamejay Shukla, and Rohit Singh, where team members engaged in open dialogue, asked questions, and gained valuable perspectives.

Workcation Moments That Brought Us Together

Beyond work, the retreat offered a wide range of experiences designed to help the team unwind and recharge. From exploring the scenic property to enjoying jungle safaris and a guided stargazing experience, the setting created moments of calm, wonder, and connection with nature.

The days were filled with thoughtfully curated activities, including village-themed dining experiences, pottery workshops, and energetic games such as cricket, pool volleyball, badminton, and dodgeball. These experiences struck the perfect balance between relaxation and engagement, allowing teams to step away from routine while staying connected.

Team bonding exercises played a central role throughout the retreat. From introducing ourselves and sharing music preferences to participating in interactive challenges, balloon relay races, and group games, every activity encouraged collaboration and participation.

While the games sparked friendly, healthy competitions, yet not so healthy competitions with a bit of playful cheating along the way, the focus always remained on fun, inclusivity, and shared experiences.

Adding to the warmth were spontaneous pool sessions, light-hearted cake fights, and evenings around the bonfire filled with laughter and storytelling, including Mr. Janamejay Shukla’s memorable college anecdotes, making these moments truly unforgettable.
