OpenSense Labs Culture: 2019 Recap

An expanding team and better collaborations led to a great transformation in 2019 for OpenSense Labs. We marked this year as a team that kept growing and the culture that was vibrant across departments. 

With our values and leadership forming the core pillars, OpenSense Labs embarked this year as one big family. From the smallest of wins to crossing milestones, it was incomplete without coming together for celebrations and joyous occasions. 

The company policy of celebrating every festival alike made the year filled with enthusiasm and glee. 

Here’s how we observed festivities throughout the year!

Holi 2019

Celebrated over the long weekend, Holi 2019 at OpenSense Labs was a blast. A team lunch followed with splashing colors and spreading smiles was observed at the Delhi office.  

Independence day 2019

An annual day of celebrating the freedom struggle and independence of India, 15th August 2019 at OpenSense Labs was filled with patriotic feelings and sentiments. From kite flying to singing old school songs, the team absolutely enjoyed the ceremony. 

Diwali 2019

One of the most awaited festivals in India, Diwali is all about lights and love. Spreading warmth and initiating new ventures, the OpenSense Labs team participated in rangoli competition and showcased their artistic and creative edges in different corners of the Delhi office. We decorated the workplace with lights and diyas, too. 

Team Building Activities

Our team is ever ready for a birthday celebration and cake smashing. While everyone waits for the weekend, we await the Friday Team Lunch to bond over food. 

This year, OpenSense Labs completed 3 years of awesomeness and celebrated their love for Drupal with a team outing at Smashhh. 

As a part of HR practice, there are a number of team building activities held across the year. Our favorite was Friday’s ‘Guess Who’ on the company slack channel. Every Friday the HR posts some clues about one employee and everyone has to guess that. 

The paper folding game on National Children’s day, 14th November, showcased competitive and team spirit among the employees at OpenSense Labs. Everyone created a unique craft with an underlined social message. 

Holiday Season 2019

The end of the year holiday season is our favorite part of winters. A Christmas cheer spreads across units and everyone comes together to relish the year with their favorite highlights. We played the Secret Santa for each other and did potluck lunch on Christmas Eve in the office. 

The team ended the year with a big bang by playing the Housie on 31st December 2019. 

On closing this year with a wide smile, we wish you all a very Happy New Year! As true Drupalites, we can’t wait for the launch of Drupal 9 in 2020!
